Nattokinase: Practical use for Spike Protein?
Is this powerful proteolytic something to be considered?
You may be trying to help people who received the COVID-19 vaccine or even wondering what you can do to help yourself. This information is focused on how to disarm the spike protein itself. The spike protein creates the pathogenicity of covid (that means, why we get sick…). However, it is also important to consider for those who got the vaccination.
Spike protein is present in the vaccination. After injection, it appears to have long-lasting duration and then subsequent effects in the body. It has been found, long after the initial vaccination event, to be located in the heart, liver, ovaries, testicles and brain. There have been reports of finding spike protein within blood clots. This causes us to ask some questions. What could be used to stop this clotting effect? Could we use something to disarm these spike protein and their related harmful effects? Proteolytic enzymes may help with these issues. One thing of note is that proteolytic enzymes may have a thinning effect on blood. While this may be the desired effect, it is important to consider this for varying states of health and most especially for anyone on a blood thinning medication. Therefore, consider consulting a natural health professional before embarking on any proteolytic enzyme regimen.
The focus for today is on the proteolytic enzyme Nattokinase. This may be an important supplement for anyone showing side effects after inoculation because it is likely to both thin the blood, reduce inflammation and detoxify the body from the spike protein.
What is nattokinase?
Nattokinase is derived from natto. This is a food in the traditional Japanese diet and is essentially fermented soybeans. It is possible to get some of these benefits by consuming the food itself. For active symptoms, the concentrated supplement may be deemed to be more effective to get the desired effects.
Nattokinase has been used in Japan for years to help with cardiovascular conditions. The main therapeutic action is anti-atherosclerotic and anti-thrombotic (meaning this helps to prevent clotting). It is considered to be a proteolytic enzyme. This means it breaks down protein. Enzymes perform chemical functions in the body. If there is a clot or some type of waste in the body, proteolytic enzymes help to break these down. As such, they become less harmful substances and are then eliminated from the body through the bowel, kidney and liver. We are looking at nattokinase as something that breaks the spike protein apart, so that its effects are no longer active within the body.
So, should you begin taking nattokinase or recommend it to others? Again, though its active properties may be powerful, get assistance from a professional knowing the blood thinning potential. This means that if you take the supplement consistently, on an ongoing basis, you may not clot as quickly if you were to experience a cut or an injury where quick clotting is crucial to prevent loss of blood. The use case would be the smallest dose possible for the amount of time needed to gain the desired effect.
Nattokinase has undergone safety testing for up to 80,000 FU (fibrinolytic units) per day. Please understand that this would be the very highest dose. More typical starting doses are around 2,000 FU per day. One of the lines we use in naturopathic medicine is Arthur Andrew Medical, which makes a product called Nattovena. This product, which is pure nattokinase, has 4,000 FU in a single capsule. The practitioner would make the dosing determination, but this gives you an idea.
Nattokinase likely remains active in the blood for about 4 - 8 hours; this means splitting a dose up to be taken twice per day may make sense for the best results.
What is the impact on Spike Protein?
There was a study done that did show the impact of nattokinase on SARS-COV-2. The study, done in 2021, shows that in fact nattokinase did directly inhibit viral infections including SARS-COV-2 in vitro testing. The mechanism of action is believed to be the ability of the enzyme to break down the spike protein. Here is the citation for that study:

Conclusion
For anyone who may have the active infection or may have noted side effects, or is concerned about side effects post-vaccination, they should consult their health professional and consider nattokinase as an important option for them in dealing with these effects. In future articles, I will also explore the potential positive impact of curcumin and bromelain for similar goals discussed here.
